3.2 Wire saw cutting stone mining process
3.2.1 Preliminary preparation
(1) Mountain stripping: The stripping work mainly strips the covering soil layer and weathering layer on the marble ore body, strips the interlayer, surrounding rock, and broken marble that has no mining value due to the development of joints and fissures, exposes the marble ore body, and prepares for mining. Special attention should be paid to protecting the ore body, and blasting vibration should not be allowed to affect the integrity and block size of the stone.

3.2.2 Preparation before mining
(1) Drilling
Drilling is a key preparation work. If the hole is not drilled well, it will directly affect the penetration of the beaded rope, the service life of the rope, and the cutting efficiency. Therefore, the drilling process is particularly important. To cut a large piece of rough material, three holes must be drilled, namely a vertical hole and two horizontal holes. The three holes intersect at one point. If the three holes do not intersect at one point, it is more difficult to penetrate the diamond beaded rope, or even impossible to penetrate. It is necessary to drill again, which reduces production efficiency. Therefore, drilling must be carried out according to the actual situation and operating procedures. The equipment used for drilling can be a multi-functional rock drill, a down-the-hole drill, a manual rock drill, etc.
(2) Rope threading
The manual rope threading method is used, that is, one end of the rope is fixed on the thin steel wire rope, and the other end of the thin steel wire rope is connected to multiple strands of soft wire (usually the wire for the hanging hammer), and is inserted from one hole. The soft wire can be flushed out by water on the vertical surface, and the horizontal surface is led out from another hole with iron wire, and then the thin steel wire rope is brought out to lead the rope saw.
(3) Install the rope saw in place
After the rope is threaded, first lay the equipment track. The track should be parallel to the horizontal hole, and a level ruler to measure the track plane levelness and make it meet the requirements. Finally, hoist the rope saw to the track, hang the rope saw, and turn on the power. Because the equipment is heavy and needs to be moved again after cutting a plane, you can use any of the following equipment to move the saw machine; Any of the following can be used: mast crane, shovel, loader, excavator, etc.
(4) Connect the water source and install the cooling water pipe. Generally, two water pipes are required, one is set at the inlet hole of the rope, and the other is set at the outlet of the rope. The water inlet position and the water outlet direction need to be adjusted continuously as the cutting progresses.
3.2.3 Stone Cutting
When using a Diamond wire saw cutting machine to mine rough materials, you must first cut the horizontal surface and then the vertical surface, so as to ensure smooth cutting. If the vertical surface is cut first and then the horizontal surface is cut, it is easy to cause the stone to break, press the beaded rope, so that the motor will slip when idling, and damage the flywheel rubber; in more serious cases, the rope saw will be scrapped. The commonly used cutting methods in mining are primary cutting-pull-over (detachment)-and secondary cutting and shaping. The main purpose of primary cutting is to cut out stone strips on the mountain. The size of the stone strips is determined by the size of the ore body, the handling capacity, the utilization rate of the stone, etc., generally 30-60M3. After the stone strips are cut, the stone strips are separated from the ore body by a winch or loader and pulled over on the working surface covered with crushed stone for secondary cutting and shaping to cut out rough materials with commercial value.
