There are many types of air compressors (air compressors).
1. According to the working principle, it can be divided into three categories: volumetric type, power type (speed type or turbine type), and thermal compressor.
2. According to the lubrication method, it can be divided into oil-free air compressor and oil-lubricated air compressor.
3. According to the performance, it can be divided into: low noise, variable frequency, explosion-proof and other air compressors.
4. According to the use, it can be divided into: refrigerator compressor, air conditioning compressor, refrigeration compressor, oilfield compressor, natural gas filling station, rock drill, pneumatic tool, vehicle brake, door and window opening and closing, textile machinery, tire inflation, plastic machinery compressor, mining compressor, marine compressor, medical compressor, sandblasting and painting.
5. According to the type, it can be divided into: fixed, mobile, and closed.
Positive displacement compressor – A compressor that directly relies on changing the gas volume to increase the gas pressure.
Piston compressor - is a positive displacement compressor, its compression element is a piston, reciprocating motion in the cylinder.
Rotary compressor – is a positive displacement compressor, and compression is achieved by the forced movement of the rotating element.
Sliding vane compressor - is a rotary variable vanity compressor, and its axial sliding vane slides radially on the rotor that is eccentric to the cylindrical cylinder block. The air trapped between the slides is compressed and discharged.
Liquid-piston compressors – These are rotary positive displacement compressors in which water or other liquid is used as a piston to compress gas and then expel the gas.
Roots twin-rotor compressor – a rotary positive displacement compressor in which two roots rotors mesh with each other to trap the gas and send it from the inlet to the exhaust. There is no internal compression.
Screw compressor is a rotary positive displacement compressor, in which two rotors with spiral gears mesh with each other, so that the volume of the two rotors meshing from large to small, so that the gas is compressed and discharged.
Speed compressor is a rotary continuous air compressor in which the blades rotating at high speed accelerate the gas passing through it, thereby converting the velocity energy into pressure. This conversion occurs partly on the rotating blades and partly on a fixed diffuser or reflux baffle.
Centrifugal compressors – are velocity compressors in which one or more rotating impellers (the blades are usually on the side) accelerate the gas. The main airflow is radial.
Axial compressors – are speed compressors in which the gas is accelerated by a rotor equipped with vanes. The main airflow is axial.
Mixed-flow compressors – also speed compressors. The shape of the rotor combines some of the characteristics of both centrifugal and axial flow types.
Jet compressor – uses a jet stream of high-velocity gas or steam to take away the inhaled gas, and then converts the velocity of the gas mixture into pressure on a diffuser.
Permanent magnet inverter compressor - because the inverter screw air compressor makes use of the stepless speed regulation characteristics of the inverter, it can start smoothly through the controller or the PID regulator inside the inverter, and can quickly adjust the response when the air consumption fluctuates greatly.
Single-pole compression screw air compressor - the head of the machine is a screw air compressor composed of a pair of yin and yang rotors. This model is a widely used screw air compressor.
Bipolar compression screw air compressor - the head is composed of two pairs of yin and yang rotors, the gas enters the second stage compression after the completion of the first stage compression, the compression ratio is high, and the power is one gear lower than that of the first stage compression air compressor.
Bipolar permanent magnet variable frequency air compressor - a new energy-saving product developed since 2014, combined with permanent magnet frequency conversion and bipolar compression technology, with high energy-saving efficiency.
