Automatic Granite & Marble Polishing Machine

Material-Specific Polishing Engineering: RS-G & RS-M Automatic Lines

In stone processing, the final polish determines both the commercial value and the aesthetic impact of the slab. Yet granite and marble are fundamentally different materials: granite demands aggressive, consistent abrasion to break through its dense crystalline structure, while marble requires controlled energy input to achieve a high-gloss mirror finish without thermal burning or surface micro-fractures.

Ruisheng Machinery addresses this reality by splitting the RS polishing series into two distinct engineering paths - RS-G for granite and RS-M for marble - rather than simply offering one machine with adjustable settings.

Granite Processing: Controlled Force at Scale

The RS-G line (models 16C, 20C, 25C) is built around a 7.5kW motor per polishing head. This power rating is calibrated to sustain continuous material removal on hard stones without overheating the abrasive or the slab surface. Belt advance speed is set between 0.8–2.5 m/min, a range that allows each head sufficient dwell time on the surface to correct thickness variations and prepare the stone for progressive finer grits.

Working width is fixed at 300–1200mm, covering standard granite slab formats. Total installed power ranges from 125kW (16-head) to 202kW (25-head), with water consumption scaling proportionally from 15 to 27 m³/h to manage both cooling and slurry removal.

The 25-head RS-G-25C represents the highest throughput configuration in this sub-series, capable of processing rough-sawn granite directly into a uniform, semi-polished state in a single pass.

Marble Processing: Speed and Surface Integrity

Marble responds differently. Its calcium-based composition is softer but more thermally sensitive. The RS-M series (16C, 20C) therefore uses a 15kW per head - double the per-head power of the G-series - to achieve rapid stock removal and immediate gloss development. Conveyor speed is independently variable from 0 to 3.5 m/min, allowing operators to slow down for delicate veined marble or accelerate for uniform white/beige blocks.

Working width extends up to 2100mm, accommodating large-format architectural panels. Total power reaches 251kW (16-head) and 311kW (20-head), with water demand at 25–30 m³/h. The wider belt and higher power make the RS-M series suitable for factories producing both standard tiles and oversized luxury slabs.

Configurable Head Count: Match Output to Floor Space

Every model in the RS series supports customizable polishing head quantities (16 / 20 / 25 for G-series; 16 / 20 for M-series). This is not merely a cosmetic option - head count directly determines:

Grit progression density: More heads allow finer abrasive step-downs, producing a smoother final surface without orange-peel texture.

Daily throughput: A 25-head line can sustain continuous feed with less manual intervention than a 16-head equivalent.

Footprint planning: Machine length scales from 7.8m (16-head G-series) to 14m (20-head M-series), a critical factor for workshop layout in export-oriented facilities.
