Classification of polishing discs
According to the connection between the polishing disc and the polishing machine, it can be divided into the following three types: bolt disc: suitable for polishing machine with bolt joints. Nut disc: suitable for polishing machines with nut joints. Suction cups: suitable for polishing machines with suction cups. Polishing discs are classified by material
Wool polishing disc: Wool polishing disc is a traditional cutting material, with strong grinding ability and great efficacy, and will leave a whirl after grinding. It is generally used for grinding and polishing ordinary lacquer, and should be cautious when using transparent lacquer. Generally, it is divided into two types: white and yellow, and there is automatic pasting at the bottom of the polishing disc to achieve a quick conversion of the polishing disc. Generally, the white wool polishing disc has strong cutting force, which can remove serious defects in the paint surface, and can quickly remove orange peel or modify grinding marks with coarse wax grinding; Maintenance instructions: Clean the wool tray cover regularly with a combing brush or air nozzle to remove wax. If the wool tray sleeve is clogged during operation, it should be removed, a clean wool disc sleeve should be installed, and the grinding should be continued. At the same time, the used wool tray sleeve should be dried, and after drying, rinse with a combing brush. Note: Rinse with lukewarm water and never with hot water, strong alkaline detergents or solvents. Washing in a washing machine can only be done on the gentle setting. It is usually dried by air and preferably not by machine.
Sponge polishing disc: Its cutting force is weaker than that of wool polishing disc, and it will not leave whirlpools, which can effectively remove the defects of medium paint surface. The bottom of the polishing disc has an automatic glue that allows for quick changeovers. It can be used for grinding and polishing ordinary paint and transparent paint of the body, and is generally used for polishing and waxing after the wool polishing disc. It is recommended that the speed of the polishing machine should be 1 500~2 500 r/rain, and not more than 3 000 r/min. Sponge polishing discs can generally be divided into the following three types according to color: yellow discs: generally made of grinding discs, hard, used to eliminate oxide film or scratches. White plate: Generally made as a polishing plate, soft and delicate, to eliminate hair scratches or polishing. Black disc: generally made as a reduction disc, soft and soft, suitable for the polishing of transparent paint and the restoration of ordinary paint. According to the shape, the sponge polishing disc can be divided into the following three types: straight cutting type: fast speed, high thermal energy, flexible, diameter x thickness size of 152.4 mm× 50.8 mm. Flat-cut type: large area, good heat dissipation, relatively stable, diameter × thickness size of 203.2 inln×(25.4~50.8) mm. Corrugated type: the working fluid is not easy to splash, and the size with a diameter of × thickness is 203.2 mm× (25.4~38.1) mm. Maintenance instructions: After rinsing in warm water, squeeze out the water and dry face up in a clean place. Do not wash with soap or detergent, do not machine wash or dry clean, and do not clean the sponge wheels with a comb brush or screwdriver.
Rabbit hair polishing disc: The cutting force of the rabbit hair polishing disc is between the wool polishing disc and the sponge polishing disc, and there is an automatic paste at the bottom, which can be used for the polishing of ordinary paint and transparent paint of the body, and the recommended speed of the polishing machine is 1 500~2500 r/min.
